In the continued spirit of fair and balanced reporting, here is some fact checking on Sen. McCain's acceptance speech from last Thursday night.

McCain claimed that Obama’s health care plan would "force small businesses to cut jobs" and would put "a bureaucrat ... between you and your doctor." In fact, the plan exempts small businesses, and those who have insurance now could keep the coverage they have.
McCain attacked Obama for voting for "corporate welfare" for oil companies. In fact, the bill Obama voted for raised taxes on oil companies by $300 million over 11 years while providing $5.8 billion in subsidies for renewable energy, energy efficiency and alternative fuels.

I just stumbled across this site looking for information on the McCain education plan.
While I really appreciate your efforts to present a nonpartisan resource (I won't use the F&B slogan, which is, to me, a partisan one), there is, in my opinion a big difference in the degree of misstatements between Obama & McCain.
Sure, you list 2 misstatements by each candidate.
However, McCain's misstatement about the Obama health care plan is deeply misleading about the potential cost of his plan to small business-owners who would not be "forced" to cut jobs at all.
And his misstatement about oil is similarly close to a lie: raising taxes on oil is hardly corporate welfare.
By contrast, the fact that Obama votes democratic 97% of the time is not a contradiction to his observation that McCain votes with Bush 90% of hte time: McCain's 90% agreement rating contradicts his message of being a maverick and a candidate for change. Obama's message of change is consistent with his voting record: he stands AGAINST Bush and for the Democrats who are not currenlty in the White House.
And the point about family incomes is a murky quibble, not a deliberate deception.
I think it's important to do more than just list two misstatements per side. We as voters need to assess how egregious the misstatements are.
