The Headline Says it All

Michelle Obama told a Wisconsin audience that "For the first time in my adult life, I am really proud of my country, because it feels like hope is making a comeback ... not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change."

Wow...that's a pretty pathetic statement. I'm proud of my country ever since I realized how many men and women gave their lives for the US. America has always been making some sort of "come back" and now is no different than 10, 20, 50 years ago. Ironically, the things that shame this country are many of the ideals Obama promotes. I am beginning to realize that the Obama camp are masters at communicating the things people want to hear, I was close to being caught up in it myself. I only hope people dig a little deeper before they vote. Talk is cheap.

i agree- america is a blessed country in which we can worship as we choose with no fear, we can say what we want with no fear, we can speak out against our government even as many are dying to protect our way of life! we can even speak out against those who have just paid the ultimate sacrifice.... america may not be perfect- but if you haven't been proud of being an american- why do i want you in the highest office seat???? i'm sorry, no body makes you live here, if you're not proud to be here- don't be here. what she said is insulting to the families of the soldiers who have died, and the memories of those who have gone before- i am proud to be an american!!! God bless america... my mother isn't ashamed of me just because she dissagrees with me nor am i ashamed of my children just because i dissagree with them! how horrible for her to say that!!!!
